UPDATE! This was supposed to be on the 2 peas in a bucket blog NOT You Talk Funny. OY! What a tangled web we weave when first learning to multi-blog. But we can connect this to language—why do they sing in English? I assume it’s just so they can be more marketable, right? When I was watching it earlier I was thinking like were they first famous around Sweden? And if so did they just sing in Swedish or did they sing in English then too? I remember when my (Colombian-born) sister-in-law was totally hating on Shakira when she started doing songs in English. Anytime I like a Shakira song, she’s all like “You should hear the Spanish version. Better.” And I’m all like, “HATER.”
